Ranbir Kapoor's next outing at the Box Office will see him step into Sanjay Dutt shoes as he plays the lead in the actor's biopic. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the untitled yet Sanjay Dutt biopic will throw light on the relationship Dutt shared with his father Sunil Dutt and will trace his Bollywood journey over the years.
Before starting to shoot, junior Kapoor spent time with Dutt so as to get into the skin of the character. Ranbir was also present at the 'Bhoomi' trailer launch and revealed a few details about his equation with Sanjay. Ranbir went on to reveal that he wanted Dutt to make a cameo in 'Jagga Jasoos' to which the actor even agreed, but couldn't do as he had prior commitments.
Ranbir said, "It was my first production. It was a special appearance and we wanted to carry it in the second part. Anurag Basu (director) and I thought there was nobody better than Sanju sir to play the part.Talking about Nawazuddin Siddiqui stepping in to do the cameo, Ranbir said, "I think every role written in the film industry goes to him first. It passes through him and then it filters down."
Ranbir also said, "The first time he (Dutt) heard it, he gladly agreed to do it. But there were some issues with the release of his first film. So, I thought may be the next time."
Well, it would definitely be a delight to see Ranbir and Sanjay Dutt in a film together!
