The makers of Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer 'Jab Harry Met Sejal' saw themselves in trouble with the Censor Board Chief Pahlaj Nihalani over usage of the word 'intercourse' in one of the mini trailers of the film. In the second mini trail of the film, Anushka is seen using the word 'intercourse' in a scene which the CBFC said was inappropriate for television.
CBFC Chief Pahlaj Nihalani, in an interview with a leading tabloid, revealed that they have granted a U/A certification to the trailer on the pretext that the makers will delete the word 'intercourse' from the dialogue. "They're yet to come back to us on that. So in principle, the trailer has not been passed yet," said Pahlaj.
He further added, "They've uploaded the uncut trailer on YouTube. The CBFC cannot stop content on the internet. But we can and will stop the broadcast of the uncensored footage on television."
However, Pahlaj Nihalani in a recent interview mentioned that he would clear the use of the word "intercourse" in the mini trailer if he gets one lakh votes in support from the common people.
In an interview, he recently gave to a television channel, Pahlaj Nihali said, "
You take voting from the public and I will clear the word (intercourse) on the promo and the film also. I want 1 lakh votes and I want to see that India has changed and Indian families want their 12-year-old kids to understand the meaning of this word (intercourse)."
Who all are going to vote in favour of this one?!
