Britney Spears recently appeared on the British TV show 'Lorraine'. In a candid conversation with interviewer Dan Wootton she confessed,” I like my 30s way more than my 20s. [My] 20s were horrible. [Being] in my teens was fun, but I like 30s, 30s is great. You know who you really are.”
At 20, Britney was at the peak of her career. But as years progressed, things started getting more and more difficult for her.
Spears went through two divorces in her 20s. The first one was from her childhood friend Jason Alexander. They got married on a whim in Vegas, however the union was annulled within 55 hours. The second divorce was from Kevin Federline, with whom she has two children. Spears had also admitted to having a breakdown back in her 20s which was treated at various care facilities. Things went further downhill for the star when she lost physical custody of her two sons and was put under a conservatorship. She said she went through a lot, which is why she called that phase of her life ‘horrible’.
However, Britney said she is in a much better place in her life now, she is single and is liking it.
Britney, who currently resides in Las Vegas, said, "I’m in a really good place right now so I think, I’m just, I’m loving and learning myself every day and learning who I am," Spears said. "So it’s just, it’s awakening, it’s cool. ... It’s OK to be single. Yeah, it totally is.”
