Meghan Markle is all set to join the British Royal family come May. And the 'Suits' actress recently made their first official evening appearance alongside Prince Harry since their engagement at the Endeavour Fund Awards on Thursday in London. It was there that Markle took to the podium to deliver her first ever royal speech.
"I'm truly privileged to be here," Markle said confidently, before presenting the Celebrating Excellence Award to Daniel Claricoates, a Royal Marine veteran who has battled post-traumatic stress and she continued saying, "now works with children, assisting them to foster their own spirit of adventure through the Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards Team." Prince Harry also presented an award. Arriving at the event under an umbrella, Markle opted for a black suit, a white shirt and black pumps. She wore her hair down with natural-looking makeup, thus keeping it looking very sharp and official. Public engagements are part of Markle's royal training and after this first speech of hers, looks like Meghan has been taking the training rather seriously too.
Royal decorum-watchers have, however, pointed out that Markle has again broken tradition by appearing publicly with Prince Harry when she’s still just an almost-royal. Well, now let's not scrutinise the poor soul, right? There's no doubt that Meghan will fit into royalty like a pro and we can't wait for that day to come!
