Unless you live under a rock you probably know all about the recent Akshay Kumar-Mallika Dua controversy. The superstar had made an off-colour comment on the stand-up comic for which he faced a severe backlash. Not only did Mallika's father, the renowned journalist Vinod Dua, slam the actor, even Mallika called him out on his comment. Following the incident, Akshay's wife, actress Twinkle Khanna took to Twitter to support her husband for which she too faced flak.
Mallika then referred to Twinkle's five-year-old daughter Nitaara, when she wrote, "Would the superstar be offended had someone jokingly said to his daughter "Nitaara ji, aap bell bajaaiye main aapko bajaata hoon"? - most probably."
Following this incident, Twinkle took to Facebook and admitted that her response to the controversy was driven by emotions. The actress apologized and said that when her daughter was dragged into the mess she had reached her breaking point.
