After having stepped in as an executive producer for a Hollywood series based on her life, Madhuri Dixit is all set to turn producer with a Marathi film. Scheduled for a mid-2018 release, the yet-untitled family entertainer will be penned by 'Mumbai Meri Jaan' and 'Tendulkar Out' screenwriter Yogesh Vinayak Joshi. The said project will be directed by Swapnaneel Jayaker, who is known for his TV rom-com, 'Chuk Bhul Dyavi Ghyavi'.
Talking about this decision, Madhuri said, "I’m excited to step into this new role and start work on my debut production. Over the years, the Marathi film industry has evolved a lot. Since it’s a family entertainer, we have an equally warm team onboard. I’m looking forward to the shoot." The film will be produced under Madhuri's online venture with her husband Dr Sriram Nene, RnM Moving Pictures.
Excited about collaborating with Madhuri, Swapnaneel added, "I am a big fan and like many others around the world, I too want to see what she’s like on a film set as a first-time producer. What more could an artiste wish for?" The film is all set to go on floors by year-end in Mumbai with Madhuri gving the mahurat shot.
Marathi mulgi, Madhuri Dixit on various occasions has said that she would love to work in a Marathi film. And now with her turning producer for a Marathi film, the actress also plans to produce Hindi films under her banner.
