Actress Madhuri Dixit who is all set to return to the silver screen with a Marathi film is been busy shooting for the film in Mumbai, Alibaug, and Langkawi. It will be her first Marathi film. And after wrapping the shoot in three locations the actress will next head to Pune for the final one. For the first time, Madhuri Dixit will ride a bike for the film. The actress will reunite with her co-star Renuka Shahane after 23 years.
Madhuri Dixit drove up a hill on the motorbike for a sequence which will portray the phase of self-realisation in the life of the female protagonist. She looked every bit like a biker girl as she wore a leather jacket and boots. The filmmaker Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar talks about the whole scene of the film and said that it was shot on an extremely hot day and the whole team aced the sequence in spite of being tired. The director fondly called Madhuri as MD.
The filmmaker said, "MD has been shooting 12 hours a day and never once made us feel we were working with a big star. She never carried any baggage to the sets and understands that regional films have their limitations. She's adjusted effortlessly.”
Madhuri Dixit will be reuniting with Renuka Shahane after 23 years for a film, the filmmaker said, "It was a 'homecoming' of sorts, and we called it the 'Bharat milap' on set.”
The filmmaker further added, "On another occasion, they were laughing their guts out over something they had just remembered on a day when we were to shoot a really intense and emotional sequence. I was wondering what they would do in order to switch into the mood for the shot but as soon as I told them we were ready, they changed gears seamlessly and cried together. It was such a memorable sight to see these two great actresses in the same frame once again.”
