However, the actress caught herself amidst the 'Padmaavat' controversy when the actress chose to write an open letter critiquing Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmaavat' post watching the film. She had written that she felt "reduced to vagina" after watching his film and in a recent interaction with the media, the actress opened up about it.
Swara was seen on the final day of a recent fashion event and she looked all things relaxed and gorgeous. When questioned about her letter, the actress chose to keep it short and direct. "Everything is in my letter. I stand 100 percent with what I said," said Swara. When questioned about her friend, designer Shaila's collection, she had the nicest things to say about the collection displayed. She too was seen donning one of Shaila's numbers.
Turning squares into fashion forms, Shaila experimented with embroidery and innovative weaving techniques to create an exciting merger. Functional silhouettes were the highlights of the collection displayed, combined with modern touches. The fabric choice was restricted to Khadi, linen and cotton jamdaani to make the summer months comfortable.
Well, despite receiving much flak for her letter, it’s admirable to see the actress standing strong for what she believes in!
