Sonam Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer 'Veere Di Wedding' was to go on floors last year, but due to Kareena's pregnancy, the makers decided to push the film to 2017. The film created anticipation amongst the audience from the time of its announcement.
The film was slated to go on floors in September last year, it hit another roadblock when there were reports that co-producer Ekta Kapoor has backed out of the project. Ekta was quick to rubbish the reports and announced that the film is very much happening. And now, Rhea Kapoor, who is also the co-producer of the film, confirmed to a news portal that the film is all set to go on floors by August.
Rhea said, "Yes, it's going to go on floors in August and we would be shooting a little bit of it in May though, minimally, but Sonam is going to finish 'Padman' and Dutt biopic first."
She further added, "And of course Kareena, she has not really gone away. She just had a human being and now it's going to be her time to get back to work and I am so excited. So August seems like the ideal time and we will finish it in one shot. It's a 55-day film and it's going to be great."
Apart from Sonam and Kareena, 'Veere Di Wedding' also stars Swara Bhaskar in a pivotal role.
