As soon as the makers announced ‘Golmaal 4’, the media started digging into which actress will be roped in opposite the boy gang. At first Shraddha Kapoor’s name cropped up as she was offered the film, but later Rohit Shetty confirmed that Parineeti Chopra will be playing the part. The rumours of Shraddha being roped in were strong, but she reportedly opted out of the film, making the producers look out for a replacement.
While it was a good opportunity for Shraddha to star opposite Ajay Devgn, Shraddha lost out on it because of her demand for a higher fee. As reported by an entertainment magazine, Shraddha was offered a whopping one crore for the film, but she instead demanded a fee hike. She wanted the makers to pay her 1.5 crores, and even asked for a day to revert to them. This attitude of Shraddha didn’t go well down with Ajay and Rohit, and the two decided to look out for another actress to play the lead.
The duo then offered the role to Parineeti who agreed to sign on the dotted lines. Parineeti has in line for her ‘Meri Pyari Bindu’ opposite Ayushmann Khurrana, and ‘Takadum’ opposite Sushant Singh Rajput. As ‘Takadum’ has been indefinitely delayed, Parineeti easily found a way to accommodate dates for ‘Golmaal 4’.
With Shraddha demanding more money, Parineeti agreed to fill in her shoes at a price undisclosed. Like we say – One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. All we hope is that the film works out really well for Parineeti, as the actress is currently trying her best to make waves with her acting.
