Ranveer Singh, who is currently the face of over nine brands, is extremely upset with Jack and Jones over the controversial sexist ad. The actor is very conscious about his image, and was upset with the fact that his image took a severe beating.
The controversial ad featured Ranveer Singh carrying a lady on his back with the caption, " Don't hold back. Take your work home." This advertisement recieved a severe social media backlash, due to its sexist content.
While the brand apologised a couple of days back, the actor also took responsibility for the ad and has come forth and apologised.
Apologising about the ad, actor Ranveer Singh recently issued the statement in press. The statement reads, "It was important to give the brand creative freedom while designing their campaign, but I guess we got it wrong on one of those billboards and I'm sorry this happened but it's a thing of the past...."
He also said, "we rectified it immediately by having those hoardings taken down asap [sic] from everywhere over 30 cities overnight. I treat all women with the utmost respect both professionally and personally and would never do anything to disrespect them."
It is heartening to see the actor, who was the face of the brand take equal responsibility for the error!
