A simple bag was all Bollywood star Anushka Sharma needed to dress up an outfit she was recently spotted wearing at the airport.
While the actress has been looking glamorous on the covers of quite a few fashion magazines of late, she still knows how to keep things casual chic in simple ways.
For this look, Anushka wore a grey co-ordinated set by Massimo Dutti and paired it with black Chloé flats. However, what was the most striking item out of the entire outfit was the Fendi tote bag. Bags have become an integral part of completing an outfit if you want to achieve that stylish cool girl vibe.

From tote to clutches, the right bag with the right outfit can be statement-making. If you want to know more about outfit-handbag pairings for any occasion, here are a few tips to keep in mind.
1. What the occasion? There's a reason large bags go with casual outfits and small bags go with more formal attire. One gives off a relaxing vibe, the other offers up a lot of sophistication. You need to be mindful about which bag you pick for an occasion. Shopping and office bags are totally different from those you carry to a gala or festive event. If your outing is more casual, opt for a duffel bag. If you are going for a more summery look, try asling bag. Carry a minaudiere if you are wearing an LBD or cocktail dress.
2. Keep your body shape in mind: It may sound bizarre to think about your body shape when picking a bag. However, this item can be just as effective as the right dress that hides unflattering areas of your body that you want to hide. Be mindful of the shape and length of the bag. A waist length bag will go well with apear-shaped body. Rounded, oversized bags will look good if you want to show off your toned arms.
3. How matchy is too matchy? Too much matchy matchy could spell disaster. If you a wearing a monochrome outfit, try a printed clutch or bag. You could even try neutral tones if your outfit is multi-coloured.
4. What’s the look you want to achieve? Having a goal in mind in terms of how you want to end up looking will help bring all the elements together. A few basic points to keep in mind - leather looks classic, crystal looks glamorous, studded is edgy. Once you've decided the look, you'll know what to choose.
