Troubles seem to be unending for the popular TV comedian Kapil Sharma. Post his mid-flight spat with co-star Sunil Grover, to the various barbs, shared online and Sunil, Chandan and Ali's departure from the show, it seems to be a tough time ahead for Kapil Sharma. Not only has this very public debacle affected Kapil's image but has also led to a severe fall in the TRPs.
Considering all of these factors, the channel honchos have asked Kapil to pull up his socks and get the show back on track. Sony has given Kapil one-month diktat to get things right and restore the show to its former glory. Apparently, Kapil has been asked to get his co-stars back on the show and up his TRPs. If the reports are to be believed, if Kapil does not manage the needful, then the channel might consider axing the show.
The channel was due to renew their Rs 105-crore contact with Kapil, but if the things don't look up, Kapil might be shown the door. However, according to recent reports, Kapil who recently shot for the latest episode featuring Parineeti Chopra and Ayushmann Khurana, is a changed man.
A source from the sets revealed that Kapil was trying very hard to put up a good show now. In fact, the comedian started the show on time and the episode and was on his best behaviour throughout the show, which was packed up without any glitches. The source added, “Kapil obliged the crew and Parineeti’s make-up artist with smiling selfies. He also tried to sing ‘Maana Ke Hum‘, Parineeti’s recently launched song. He was goofing around with the duo even after pack-up, with them smearing cake on his face.”
