In a turn of events between Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover, the flight incident where Kapil apparently physically assaulted Sunil, the situation is now blown out of proportion. Sunil is not ready to give in and has refused to be a part of the show anymore. Stand-up comedian Raju Shrivastav who was supposed to be the peacemaker between the two failed miserably in convincing Sunil to return to the show.
With reports of the channel planning to not extend the show's contract, a source close to a leading tabloid revealed, "The skit-cum-chat show’s contract with Sony Entertainment Television expires in less than two weeks, but in a rather generous gesture, the channel has decided to offer a month’s extension."
As Raju now steps in to save the show's falling TRPs, the actor in a recent interview stated, "I met Sunil last week when he was shooting for Indian Idol right next to where we were shooting for our show. I went into his vanity van and tried convincing him. He told me, ‘Raju Bhai, I don’t want publicity out of this or wish to sound arrogant, but there have been many instances when I have been offended. This time, all limits were crossed. He (Kapil) may have apologised, but I won’t return to the show."
Well, with Sunil now refusing to return to the show, the other actors - Ali Asgar, Chandan Prabhakar, and Sugandha Mishra too have shown constant displeasure from the show's host. Only time will tell what the future holds for the show!
