An FIR has been lodged against filmmaker Shirish Kunder in UP's Hazratganj police station owing to his derogatory statements about Yogi Adityanath on Twitter. Criticising the centre's decision of appointing Yogi Adityanath as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shirish Kunder slammed the decision and labelled the now CM as 'goon'.
In a series of tweets, which are now deleted from the filmmaker's Twitter timeline, Kunder had tweeted, "Hoping a goon will stop rioting once he's allowed to rule is like expecting a rapist to stop raping once he's allowed to rape." Shirish had further added, "Going by the logic of making a goon as CM so that he behaves, Dawood can be CBI director. And Mallya - RBI Governor."
And now according to a tweet by ANI, a first information report or FIR has been registered in Hazratganj against the filmmaker.
However, not only has Shirish since deleted the tweets but also, has issued an unconditional apology on his Twitter handle.
This is the time that an FIR has been lodged against someone for making disparaging remarks on the newly appointed UP CM.
