They say being under constant scrutiny of the media is amongst the biggest downsides of being a part of the glittering world of show business. Celebrities have often spoken about how things are often blown out of proportion, facts are twisted and headlines are created to mislead the readers and one of the biggest pieces of gossip that interests them are Bollywood link-ups.
Actor Arjun Kapoor, whose link-up rumours with ‘Mubarakan’ co-star Athiya Shetty have been making headlines for quite a while now, recently got candid in an exclusive interview with team MissKyra and opened up regarding the issue. “Industry mein kisi ko ‘hi’ bol do na, toh bhi ye rumour bann sakta hai. Kisi ko ‘hi’ bol do ‘bye’ bol do, unse pooch lo aapki gaadi ayi hai ki nahi bahar aur media ne photo kheech li, toh vo 2
+ 2 = 22 nahi 22000 ho jata hai,” said Arjun.
Talking about how he deals with these situations, he continued, “That’s part of the business. You can’t help it. You can’t let that ruin what you have with people, your friendship, your banter, the communication. That dies down a natural death when people kind of realise that there was nothing to it. You are not the only person going through it. There were many before you, there will be many after you; it will just keep happening. You have to be honest to those equations and relationships even though somebody might speculate something about you. If you know that person and you are working with that person, you should make sure that it doesn’t affect your relationship with that person.”
On the work front, Arjun will be seen in a double role in ‘Mubarakan’, co-starring Athiya, Ileana D’Cruz and Anil Kapoor, which will hit the theatres on 28
th July.
