Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra used to be seen chilling together at Award shows and parties. They even appeared together in the last season of Karan Johar’s chat show ‘Koffee With Karan’. The chemistry between the two Bollywood hotties was striking, but at the same time the world questioned, how long would it last?
It’s been a while since reports about tension between the two actresses have started surfacing. There were reports that Deepika didn’t like the fact that Priyanka was paid more than her and things didn’t help either when both were in race for an upcoming Indo-China Bollywood movie, ‘Love in Beijing’. And now, Deepika seems to have taken a nasty dig on PeeCee.
In a recent interview with Vogue, Deepika said:
“I still remember I was in school when she won Miss World.”
Ouch…well but she did cover this up by saying that she has known Priyanka for many years now and nothing has changed between the two. She said she doesn’t have any problem with the ‘Quantico’ star. She further added, “What she wants from her career will be very different from what I want and that needs to be understood and respected.”
On the work front, Deepika is all set to make her Hollywood debut opposite Vin Diesel in ‘XXX: Return of Xander Cage’, which is releasing on 19
th January 2017.
