With New Years Eve right around the corner, the menace of drink and drive is going to be at an all-time high! To aid the state police force in curbing the menace, Bollywood superstars, Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar have released videos urging people to not drink and drive!
In the 20-second-long video posted by Shah Rukh Khan on Twitter, he says, “Party ka mahaul hai khoob party karo. Majnu banke laila ke saath naacho, Lekin sharaab peeke gaadi mat chalao. (Live up the party mood. Dance with your beloved, but don’t drink and drive.)”
Akshay Kumar also shared an audio file on Twitter, which said, "Sab jante hai kanoon ke haath lambe hote hai, phir bhi pange lete hai. Lekin is saal mat lena. Celebration jamm ke karna lekin bhool ke bhi 'don't drink and drive'. Nahin toh suna hai na, kanoon ke haath lambe hote hai... (Everyone knows about long arms of the law, yet people take it lightly. Please don't make the same mistake this year. Party hard but don't drink and drive. Otherwise, you know about the long arms of the law)."
This move can be dubbed as the promotional strategy by both the stars for their upcoming movies. But, kudos to both the actors for spreading such a strong message!
