Twitter is probably the most looked-at social media platform when it comes to celebrity news and gossip. And while several, if not all our entertainers take to the social media platform often to post various things, one actor who used the platform well was Amitabh Bachchan. Having around 32.9 million followers on his Twitter, the 75-year-old megastar was probably the most sought-after Bollywood celebrity on the platform. And if you're one those millions following him, here's some sad news...
The actor recently posted about quitting the microblogging site after they decided to reduce his number of followers. Here's what his post looked like:
In case you're wondering what that number in the beginning of his tweet denotes, it is basically stating the number of days Big B has been on Twitter. The actor has had a good run on Twitter for a good 2599 days, however, when he decides to end this long friendship is yet to be seen. Bachchan would often take to Twitter to tweet photos of himself, to thank people as also to send them birthday wishes and it comes as no surprise that he posted a good few witty comments on the portal too.
Last month, Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu visited India and met with several Bollywood stars including Amitabh Bachchan and at an event that was designed to reach out to Bollywood to shoot more films in Israel, PM Netanyahu said, "I used to think that I was a big deal. Till I found that Amitabh Bachchan has 30 million more followers than me."
As of now, Shah Rukh Khan has surpassed Amitabh on the platform with 32,939,375 followers while Big B is at 39,901,349 followers. Could this be the reason Big B wants to 'get off'? Like always twitteratis have much to say about Shah Rukh Khan now occupying the number one spot. Check out what his fans and other Twitter users have to say about this...
Some even decided to joke about t it....
One ethusiastic fan even decided to rank them all in order...
Well, is Amitabh Bachchan all set to get off the platform or is he just pranking us? All we can do right now is wait and watch...
