Alia Bhatt is one of the most talented and versatile actresses in Bollywood. And if that wasn't enough, it looks like she has an answer to every question. The actress was recently at a film festival where she was asked why we don’t see Madhuri Dixit and her likes paired opposite Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. The actress was also quizzed about why these 'older' actors were paired against much younger actresses instead. There was also a question about whether Alia felt insecure, given that as a female actor, her acting career could also be short-lived.
Alia stated that according to her the trends have changed and actresses now still work far more than they did before. She also blamed writers for not writing parts for older female actors for them to be cast with senior actors like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn in Bollywood today.
Alia said, “I do feel that the trend is changing. Eventually, it all depends on our writers. If the writers are writing films for actresses who are older, after marriage, fifty-sixty-seventy-forty, doesn’t matter, I feel it all depends on the parts written for them. I am somebody who is very passionate about acting, so I don’t mind playing any character if it has an impact on storytelling. So, hopefully, I will be acting till I turn 90. And I hope I will be saying bye to the world from a film set.”
