Akshay Kumar, known for his inclination towards taking up films on the subject of nationalism, is no different in real life. He many times, through his films, have sent a message of patriotism, and not even one would I have left the theatre not feeling proud of my nation. Yes, that is how powerful and convincing is Akshay when it comes to acting in films whose subject relate to national security and defence. Be it Holiday, Baby, Airlift, or even Gabbar, his films enjoy not only critical but also commercial acclaim.
But Akshay is not patriotic towards the nation only in his films; he harbours patriotism in person as well. During the Uri attacks while the industry’s talking point was the ban placed on the Pakistani artistes, it was Akshay who came forward to highlight that the life of our soldiers was of much importance. Akshay posted a video where he not only did he condemn the attacks but also took a stand where he said that the talking point should be the lives of our jawans and not Pakistani artistes.
And now one hears that Akshay, in a move to express gratitude and solidarity to the martyrs, reached the BSF camp in Jammu to pay tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives during the recent ceasefire. The actor made it a point to interact with the soldiers as he is known to follow the matters of national security very closely. Akshay has always come in support of the army, and have always lauded the efforts of the security force who put their lives at risk.
We are touched by this move of Akshay, and not only appreciate but also support him as he takes a stand for the very jawans who risk their lives to save ours.
