While the shoot of Vijay Krishna Acharya's magnum opus, 'Thugs of Hindostan' starring Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Katrina Kaif is on, if reports are to be believed, producer Aditya Chopra is not happy with the rushes.
Set in the eighteenth century, 'Thugs of Hindostan' is a high-octane drama film, which will see Aamir in a never-seen-before avatar. When quizzed Aamir about the comparisons with 'Pirates of The Caribbean', Aamir said, "There are some hundreds of action adventure films. There is 'Pirates of The Caribbean', there is 'Indiana Jones' and many others. All these are action adventure films. So the genre of our film is action adventure but the story is different. Even my character in the film is not similar to any other character."
Talking about the Malta schedule of the film, director Vijay Krishna Acharya said, "The set of the film is in a high-security water zone, with restricted access. Both these ships have been built in the early eighteenth-century style when vessels would carry cannons and other weapons. An international crew has been hard at work creating these elaborate ships in Malta. Most of the portions filmed on board these ships involve high octane action."
And now if reports are to be believed, producer Aditya Chopra is not happy with the film and has asked the director to reshoot certain portions. If reports are to be believed, a set has been prepared at the Yashraj studio to shoot for the same. Starring Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh, 'Thugs of Hindostan' is scheduled for a late 2018 release.
