Off late, filmmakers have been going through a hard time prior to the release of their movies due to the CBFC’s (Central Board of Film Certification) demands for multiple cuts, which often hampers the creative aspect of the projects. Many have even accused the Pahlaj Nihalani led squad of being ‘orthodox’ and ‘unreasonable’.
Recently, there were reports that Ajay Devgn had decided to chop down his intimate sequences with Ileana D’Cruz from his upcoming movie ‘Baadshaho’, in an attempt to escape the wrath of the scissors-friendly CBFC. However, rubbishing these reports, the actor said, “This is not true. We have not made a porn film." He further said, “I have never faced any problems as a director-producer with the CBFC. All you need to do is rationalise with them." The movie’s director Milan Lutharia added, “Nobody is allowed to trim down the film except for the core team. These (reports) are all conjectures."
Addressing the fact that her movie is being compared to Madhur Bhandarkar’s controversial ‘Indu Sarkar’, Lutharia said, “That film had a political approach and our film is an action adventure with the period of emergency acting as a backdrop."
Also starring Emraan Hashmi and Esha Gupta in pivotal roles, ‘Baadshaho’ will hit the theatres on 1st September.
