We Indian women know just what works well for our hair and if you haven't caught up to what we're saying yet, yes, we're talking about oiling our hair. Whether it's opting for nourishment for our hair or if it's just a plain old champi that we want, oil can immediately come to our rescue for a plethora of hair-related stuff. But then again, we're sure you've heard various different things about oiling your hair from friends, family and probably multiple other people. So, if you've got any questions related to oiling your hair, we've got some answers for you!
Which oil is the best for your hair? The answer to this question is whichever one suits you best. Yes, while there are a ton of different oils you can choose from, be it almond, jojoba or even coconut (we prefer this the most since it works best in locking the moisture in your hair), different oils work well for different types of hair. So, experiment a little and see which works best for you.
How long and often should oil be applied to your hair? You needn't apply oil to your hair more than once or twice a week. Over application of it can lead to scalp issues and may even cause dandruff. And don't leave it on in your hair for more than 2-3 hours.
Is there a difference between a hot oil massage and a normal oil massage? The answer to this is that hot oil massages work better since they can help improve blood circulation in your scalp. Of course, you shouldn't apply very hot oil to your scalp or you could risk burns.
Can oiling grey hair make a difference? Well, not really. Nothing has been proven yet but that doesn't mean you can't try. And it's always best to oil your hair regularly at least for the sake of keeping it moisturised.
Is there any difference between oiling methods for men and for women? There honestly, isn't much of a difference between the methods but men do tend to require more oiling since they also tend to be a lot hairier than women are. But that's about it.
Stay tuned for more updates.
