As much as we guffaw and laugh at these things, we all know that people do have types when it comes to dating someone. So, you could just casually ask him this question and then you'll come to know if you happen to be the type of person that he would want to date.

This is literally the easiest way to get to know what he's thinking. So, you could probably start off by asking him why he's single and then you could immediately follow up with the crush question. If he takes a celebrity's name, then you're good to go but instead, if he starts blushing, well then we're not sure where he's going with it.

This is yet another question that will help you figure out if he's even remotely on the same page as you. If he likes you he'll probably think of something to say like how he'd like to be in a relationship if he finds the right girl.

This you need to ask to make sure he hasn't just gotten out of some heartbreaking relationship because you wouldn't want to be somebody's rebound, would you? Plus, you'll also get to know why it probably didn't work out for you.
