Whether you’re someone who likes the idea of coveting mermaid hair or simply here to try out a new trend during the quarantine, the new DIY hair colouring technique with tissue paper is something you would love to try. Although the hair colour will be temporary that can last up to only a few washes, this new sensational method is making rounds on the internet for requiring colourful tissue paper only.
This new hack is safe for kids and adults to try out. The only setback is that the people with lighter hair tones tend to get a better colour pay-off than darker hair. Sorry Brunette girls! However, that should not stop you from trying this fun new trend while being at the comfort of your house.
Here’s what you require:
- Colourful tissue paper
- A bowl/bowls
- Hair towel
- Hot boiling water
- Salt
- Comb and hair section clips (optional)
Method:
Start by dividing your hair sections to colour. Grab some colourful tissue paper of your choice and rip it into medium pieces. Put these tissue paper pieces into a bowl (per colour). Now pour boiling hot water over the tissue paper in the colour bowl and let it rest for five minutes, but not more to cool down the water. Add a pinch of salt in the colour bowl or bowls if you’re creating multiple colour look. Now remove the tissues paper from the water and soak the hair (or section) in the water of the bowl for around five minutes for the colour to settle on your hair strands. Remove when done and dry. The idea to create the dip-dye hair colour look.
