And now that we're all stuck indoors due to the coronavirus pandemic, it's only natural for you to opt for products that you can make at home. After all, you might just end up running out of certain products during the lockdown. And what better to use than natural, ayurvedic ingredients to make these products? Not only will they do the job perfectly but they'll also ensure you don't end up with any side-effects. Here are some DIY ayurvedic products you should opt for at home. Take a look.

02/5Shampoo
You'll need 1 tbsp of powdered shikakai, 2 tbsp of amla powder, 1 tbsp of neem powder, 3-4 drops of essential oil and 3 cups of water. Add all these ingredients to a boiler and let the mixture boil for 8-10 minutes. Once done, strain the mixture and pour the liquid in a shampoo bottle. And voila! Your shampoo is ready to use!

For body oil, you'll need 1 tbsp of ghee, 1 tbsp of sesame cooking oil, a handful of cloves, crushed ginger, shredded orange peel, basil leaves and 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder. Add all these ingredients to a pan and let them cook for about 10 minutes. Pour them into a bowl and let them cool down for a day. Use a coffee filter to strain the mixture and then store your oil.

For your DIY toothpaste, you'll need 1 tbsp of refined camphor, 1 tbsp of sugar, a teaspoon of alum (fitkari), 2 tbsp of sunflower oil and two drops of cloves. Mix all these ingredients to make a thick and consistent paste. Your toothpaste is now ready to use!

Didn't know you could also make soap at home, did you? Well, for this one, you'll need 1 cup of aloe gel, any leftover natural soap like glycerin soap (melted), 1 tbsp of almond oil and some essential oil. Pour all these ingredients into a bowl and mix them well. Pour the mixture into your moulds and let it sit overnight. Your soap is now ready.
