It's no secret that exams can take a toll on any child's health. From having to study for long hours to the stress of doing well, there are a ton of things that can make things worse for your child's health during the exam season. And now that the CBSE exams are going on, many people wonder what they can do to help their children feel better and less stressed. It's also during this time that the children's eyes get affected the most due to constantly staring at books or screens.
This is also why so many children complain about having severe headaches during the exam season. Most parents tend to start panicking because they think that something is seriously wrong with their children. However, this is just a side effect of staring at things for too long. So, if you want to stay well-informed about these things, here are some tips that will also help take care of your child's eyes during the exam season. Take a look.
Make sure your child is getting enough sleep: The most important thing for you to ensure is that your child is getting the right amount of sleep. Most children tend to stay up late to try and catch up on their studies. But make sure that they get at least 7-8 hours of sleep every night.
Tell them to take a break: It becomes very important for the kids to take a break whenever they're studying for long hours. Tell them to take a few minutes of break after studying for about 20 minutes. It'll help refocus their eyes while also helping them feel refreshed.
Make sure they're eating a healthy diet: Make sure your child is getting the right amounts of nutrition. They need to eat the right amount of proteins, fruits and veggies that can provide fibres and vitamins and also consume foods rich in omega 3 fatty acids since these help improve eye health.
Tell them to refrain from touching their eyes often: We tend to rub our eyes when they get tired or dry. But doing so can easily lead to an eye infection which will be nothing short of disastrous during the exam season. So, tell your kids to keep their hands clean and to refrain from rubbing or touching their eyes too often.
Make sure to convey these tips to your kids and see just how well it'll work for them. Stay tuned for more updates.
