Chinese model Ming Xi suffered a fall on the runway at one of the biggest lingerie ramps of the world at their show in Shanghai. Ming tumbled to the floor after accidentally catching the fabric of her ensemble on the heel of her thigh-high gladiator shoes. But, instead of being totally embarrassed by her fall in front of an audience of almost 18,000 people, she owned it completely and smiled through it all!
This was the first show of this label to be held in China because of China being a major market for the American lingerie brand. And what looked like a horrifying moment, in fact, turned into something quite breezy because of the way the 28-year-old handled it. She even issued an apology to her country when the media approached her asking her about the mishap. She said, ''I'm sorry to let everyone down. Thanks for everyone's concern.''
She pulled herself back up gracefully and got back right up with help from fellow model, Gizele Oliviera. Xi was the only one of the 55 models in the show to suffer the occupational hazard of falling on the catwalk and the video of her falling went viral soon later. The model even took to a social media site to comment on the mishap and she bravely wrote, ''As a model for seven years, I have fallen on this road many times, but I know no matter how painful it is, I must stand and finish. The future road is long. I will always continue walking.' In less than 24 hours, her post received more than 1.2 million 'likes', nearly 270,000 comments and was shared over 156,000 times.
Well, we think this beauty handled the issue like a pro and we couldn't possibly ask for more. After all, can you imagine the pressure on them...let alone their heavy (and absolutely gorgeous) wings. Kudos to you Ming Xi!
