All fashion lovers know that British Vogue's September issue is an all-important one. And songstress, Rihanna has made history by being the first black woman to ever snag the September issue of British Vogue. The September issues of Vogue are large, lavish and all about the latest fashions and trends. Well, who better than Rihanna to grace the cover then, right?
The magazine's editor-in-chief, Edward Enninful, styled the cover and photoshoot, and Nick Knight served as photographer for the shoot. Edward Enninful was determined to do something special this time and well, he nailed it! The cover features Rihanna dressed in hot pink Prada tulle with orange gloves and an elaborate floral headpiece by Makoto Azuma. Makeup artist, Isamaya Ffrench has given her the most dramatic makeup look ever featuring glossed lips, silver eye-shadow and barely-there brows, those that are making the Internet go crazy! The dark blackberry lip colour courtesy of the star’s own Fenty Beauty range has our hearts though...
Inside the issue, the pop phenom sports a series of other floral-inspired looks, including a pink ruffled Alexander McQueen jacket and a black blossom-adorned dress by Noir Kei Ninomiya. “I always knew it had to be Rihanna,” Enninful said in his editor's letter. “A fearless music-industry icon and businesswoman, when it comes to that potent mix of fashion and celebrity, nobody does it quite like her. No matter how haute the styling goes, or experimental the mood, you never lose her in the imagery. She is always Rihanna,” he added.
