There are artists and there designers. And then there's Sabyasachi Mukherjee. The designer is known to create magic with his designs and who other than Deepika Padukone to make his muse to showcase those designs, right? Well, the designer recently collaborated with a paint company who chose to be inspired by his designs for their next collection. Titled Guldasta, the wallpaper is inspired by the designer's life spent in North Calcutta in the late seventies and early eighties. Featuring floral motifs and motifs of tigers lounging amidst peaceful palm trees and the Taj Mahal, flora and fauna inspired by the tree of life and blossoming flowers, the collection is one that you can fall in love with.
The delicate hand-painted motifs resonate perfectly with Deepika's elegant Indian ensembles and poise. The designer has been known to collaborate with various designers across different genres, however, none of his inspired looks have been this royal and resplendent. Deepika looks all things regal in the outfits ranging from white sarees to stiff silk Benarasi ones. And what's more? Sabyasachi has made sure that the jewellery speaks volumes too.
From donning statement chokers with green stones encrusted in it to working bold maang-tikkas and some stunning jadau diamonds, the actress looks nothing short of perfection. For most of the looks, Deepika has gone with her locks styled in a severely parted low bun and even some messy buns too. The makeup palette is relatively nude other than her statement brows and orange tinged lip colours.
The almond-eyed diva has perfectly expressed exactly what the designer was hoping to: his love and obsession for the time-drenched alleys of North Calcutta, which he described as ‘Paradise lost’. We're literally at a loss for words now. Scroll on and take her beauty in yourself...
We're just left spellbound...
