Known to be secretive about his personal life, Varun Dhawan has never confirmed nor denied his alleged affair with childhood sweetheart Natasha Dalal. While the two have been spotted hand-in-hand at many Bollywood events, Varun maintains that he will always keep some aspects of his life away from the media glare.
However, with social media catching pace, everything has become easily accessible. Bollywood stars too sometimes become the victims of trolls on social media, and many of their information, pictures and videos too make their way for the public glare.
Recently, Priyanka Chopra was trolled for her attire when she met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Berlin. When a leading daily asked Varun, who is active and interactive on social media, about celebs getting trolled, Varun opined, "People will judge you or troll you. There are online bullies, who can be harsh. If anyone says they didn’t like a film, I can’t feel bad about it. But if they get bitchy and I abuse them back, then I’ll never hear the end of it. I’m on social media to spread happiness and love."
When asked if the trolls and the hatred ever make him angry, Varun added, "I do. I do, I do, I do. But when it gets to me, I blow off steam underwater. That’s my escape route to peace!” he reveals. “When I go for a swim, I go underwater and try to hold my breath for some time. That’s when I truly find myself."
Further revealing that there are some aspects of his life that he will never share on the social media, Varun concluded, "There’s a big part of my personal life that I won’t share at all. After all, some parts of your life have to be sacred. It’s very easy to lose that today. Being an actor, being on social media…you’re putting out so much already. Sometimes it’s nice to have a part of you that nobody knows about."
On the work front, Varun Dhawan is currently shooting for David Dhawan's 'Judwaa 2' alongside Taapsee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez.
