Sonarika Bhadoria, popularly known as Parvati from ‘Devon Ke De Mahadev’ recently uploaded some pictures of herself in a bikini. The actress was on a vacation with her brother in Mauritius at the time. Unfortunately, the audience, who had always known her as the holy Parvati, could’t accept her as a sexy woman clad in a two-piece bikini. Her picture was flooded with comments slut-shaming and criticising her for posting such pictures.
At a music launch event of her upcoming movie, the actress told
to a leading website, “At that time, I was in Mauritius, happily vacationing with my brother. If I am going to a beach, I will wear a bikini. I liked the pictures and hence posted them on my social account. Little did I know that people still live in that era where a girl is not allowed to skin show and if she does, then she is slut-shammed! It was fine to a point until people dragged my family into the matter and used derogatory words for them.”
The actress is all set to make her Bollywood debut in ‘Saansein’ opposite Rajneish Duggal and Hiten Tejwani, which is scheduled to release on November 11, 2016.
