This Christmas was set for a big clash with Rajkumar Hirani's Sanjay Dutt biopic starring Ranbir Kapoor and Salman-Katrina starrer, 'Tiger Zinda Hai' heading for a clash. However, if reports are to be believed, the release of the biopic has been postponed for the late March release next year.
The reports suggest that Rajkumar Hirani's untitled film that talks about Sanjay Dutt's life from his early days to his release from Yerwada prison. However, the film is rumoured to have been pushed further to avoid a box office clash with the 'Tiger Zinda Hai.'
In fact, a source close to the development revealed,
"This biopic is one of the most awaited films in recent times. We have to release it at a time when it can garner maximum eyeballs. We know Salman has a huge fan following, so it only made business sense to avoid the on-screen clash.”While the effort has been made to keep Ranbir's looks under the wraps, recently a few images of the actor leaked from the sets. The film also stars Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala and Vicky Kaushal among others.
With the reports suggesting that the release has been pushed to March 30 2018 , it looks like this clash will be averted.
