It’s a known fact now that with fame and the ‘celebrity’ status, comes a huge amount of trolling. Almost every day we hear of our favourite celebrities being trolled, especially with the emergence of social media. While some get trolled for their performances, some get body-shamed and some are just attacked with malicious and nasty comments. And the latest edition of a television programme plans to help celebrities take on these trollers.
“The team has roped in private investigators and a cyber team to trace these trolls. Bollywood celebrities will confront the faces behind these acts in a bid to educate the youth, create awareness and highlight the issue of cyber-bullying,” informed a source. Rannvijay Singha, the host of the season also added that Taapsee Pannu will be the first guest on the show.
Taapsee will take on anyone trolling her head-on and confront them instead of shying away or what’s the done way, ignoring the trollers. The host even added that with power comes great responsibility and the Internet has given many the power to voice their opinion but, “There are a lot of people who do not use this power wisely which is why trolling needs attention. If one thinks one can hide his or her identity, use the platform to send inflammatory and off-topic messages and get away with it, it is a serious offence and a sign of cowardice.”
