Actress Shraddha Kapoor has recently been in the limelight after news broke out about her alleged link-up with Farhan Akhtar. As of now, the actress is busy promoting her upcoming film 'Haseena Parkar', with her brother Siddhanth Kapoor who plays the role of Dawood Ibrahim in the film.
In an interview with a leading newspaper, Siddhanth addressed the alleged rumours and said, "I am possessive about Shraddha, just like any other brother. I know the truth, so I just laugh at such stories that get printed about her link-up rumours. Rumours will always be rumours. We can’t help it."
Unlike his sister Shraddha who is already famous in the industry, Siddhanth is still trying to make a name for himself in Bollywood. Talking about it, he stated, "Every actor has a journey — this is my journey. I am happy with what I am getting. I like doing more challenging roles. I don’t want to do typical hero roles."
When asked if there was any kind of sibling rivalry between the two, the actor said, "We are like best friends. We take each other’s advice. There is absolutely no ego clash; we are always there for each other. These things have never crossed our minds."
Siddhanth had also earlier spoken about the challenges he had to face while playing the role of Dawood. "To understand his psyche was difficult. The transformation was both emotional and physical. I had to eat, walk, look and think like him. I read Dongri To Dubai and even met Hussain Zaidi [author of the book on Ibrahim]. He offered me an insight into Dawood's life," said the actor.
