Sandhya Mridul has managed to leave quite the impact on audiences despite having a small number of films in her kitty. And recently, we caught Sandhya performing at an event narrating what it is like to a be a single woman in society. At a performing arts collective event, the actress shared her experiences and how she has been judged by friends and family alike for the number of men she has 'slept' with. She continued explaining why single women are considered 'bad women' and how she dealt with it.
Sandhya, who referred to her married friends as 'dead' had but one response to those shaming her by saying, "She may sleep with her mistakes, but at least she didn't marry them." Sandhya also named a few 'Sex and the City' references and noted that women had to grow balls and penises simply to fight the scrutiny single women have to go through for being 'single'. Her performance at the event was funny and generated laughs from the audience. She continued by saying that it wasn't easy to a be a single woman especially if you are surrounded by judgmental friends and a judgmental society. However, she did point out that single women allow others to live vicariously through them!
So, amidst snarky comments ranging from 'sexy Sandy' and 'that bitch', she survived through it all. And kudos to her for it, right? Intrigued?
