As reported earlier, Priyanka Chopra is in talks with filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali as the actress plans on to do a Bollywood film now that her Hollywood film 'Baywatch' has hit theatres. Apparently, the actress was in talks with the ace filmmaker over his next titled 'Gustakhiyaan'.
'Gustakhiyaan' will throw light on poet-lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi's romance with poetess-novelist Amrita Pritam. There were also reports that suggested Sanjay has approached Shah Rukh Khan and later Abhishek Bachchan to play the role of Sahir. However, there was no confirmation about the same from the filmmaker.
Priyanka returned to Mumbai last night, and according to sources, she is back in town to start work on her Bollywood projects. A source close to a leading tabloid revealed, "In all likelihood, Priyanka's trip will culminate in the project being locked. An official announcement, however, will be made only after the male lead (for the part of legendary poet Sahir Ludhianvi) is cast."
Also, last month when Priyanka had visited the city, she was asked about collaborating with Sanjay for 'Gustakhiyaan'. To this, she had said, "When we meet, we inevitably discuss work. I can never say no to him, and will work with him whenever I get a chance. We are yet to figure out our special next."
Apart from 'Gustakhiyaan', Priyanka has apparently also signed on two Hollywood projects - 'A Kid Like Jake' and 'Isn't It Romantic'.
