Priyanka Chopra under her banner, Purple Picture Productions has produced various regional films that range from Bhojpuri to Sikkimese to Goan to Bengali and Marathi. In fact, Priyanka's Marathi production venture, 'Ventilator' even earned a three National Awards.
And now if reports are to be believed, Priyanka is all set to co-produce a Hindi film with the producers of 'Mary Kom' and the Indian presenters of Priyanka's Hollywood debut, 'Baywatch' - Viacom 18 Motion Pictures.
Talking about the decision to co-produce, Priyanka said, "I think with my heart and not my head. I am instinctive but not impulsive. And money is not the end goal. If it was, I wouldn’t be producing regional films whose reach is limited. It’s so much easier to make money as a Hindi film producer. But we are still a small company and new as producers. We still have a lot to learn."
When quizzed if PeeCee will be involved with other facets of the project like scripting, Priyanka laughed and said that she overlook the screenplay. Explaining this Priyanka added, "I’m not that talented. I love writing. I’ve worked with the most talented writers in the world – in Hindi cinema and on Quantico. I don’t have enough knowledge yet, but I am overlooking the screenwriting process."
