Until a few days ago, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus 'Padmavati' was slated to release on December 1. But following all the controversies surrounding the film, the makers of the film voluntarily deferred the film's release. Now, this decision of theirs has sent other Bollywood producers into a tizzy. With one of the biggest films of the year bowing out of the race, the release calendar is suddenly witnessing a rejig.
Sources reveal that Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Monsoon Shootout, which was slated for December 22 release, might now hit theatres a week earlier. "December 15 looked liked a better date for them as the film could have a week-long run at the theatres before 'Tiger Zinda Hai' arrived," a source informed. The film is likely to be released on December 15 now.
Meanwhile, another film titled, 'Brij Mohan Amar Rahe' has taken the December 1 slot. A source revealed, "We are bringing forward the release of 'Brij', since we believe we can showcase our film better on the available date."
Stay tuned for more updates.
