Fans of hit series from the 90s, 'Friends' have been feeling quite nostalgic lately. The series recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. And many celebrated it in their own way.
American designer brand, Ralph Lauren even came up with a capsule collection inspired by the show’s most stylish character, Rachel Green. However, what happened a few days ago, probably takes the cake.
In case you missed it, Jennifer Aniston joined Instagram on Tuesday, and the collective Instagram universe, kind of died out of happiness.
Jennifer made her debut on Instagram with a now-viral selfie along with her ‘Friends’ co-stars, captioning the picture, "And now we're Instagram FRIENDS too. HI INSTAGRAM."
The Instagram post featuring Jennifer (Rachel Green), Courteney Cox (Monica Geller), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay), Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribianni), David Schwimmer (Ross Geller), and Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing) went so viral that caused Jennifer’s profile to crash, leading to fans not being able to follow her for a while.
In an email written to a leading news network, an Instagram rep said, "We are aware that some people were having issues following Jen's profile." He continued to say, "We are thrilled to have this 'Friend' as part of the Instagram community! As of now, people should be able to access and follow her profile with no problems."
Jennifer may have even figured out her internet-breaking debut even before Instagram confirmed it. To a fan who commented, why they weren’t able to follow her, she replied saying, "sorry, I think I broke it."
