rrfan Khan and Saba Qamar-starrer,'Hindi Medium', which is still running in theatres has gone on to become a sleeper hit. A story of a Delhi's couples struggle to get their daughter admitted to a nice school, the movie has struck a chord with the audience.
Talking about the response, producer Dinesh Vijan revealed, "The response we have got is phenomenal. The entire unit of 'Hindi Medium', including Irrfan and Saba, who look cool as a couple on screen, should be repeated in a film. There is definitely scope for a sequel. We would certainly explore it."
As the film is still running in theatres, the producer added that brainstorming on a sequel a little too early. Dinesh explained, "It’s too early. Also, I still have to talk to director Saket Chaudhary, who is currently working on another project."
When prodded about the sequel to the 2015-hit revenge-drama, 'Badlapur', which starred Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Varun Dhawan, Dinesh said that they are making progress. He added that director Sriram Raghavan takes his own time with the project and elucidated, "He took two years to write the first film, and spent the same amount of time for Badlapur 2. Our production house gives scriptwriting importance and allows writers to take their time. Now, he has finished writing the script. It is finally happening. We will begin casting for it soon."
