Ranveer Singh is apparently set to join a Football Club that comprises of Bollywood actors Ranbir Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Sidharth Malhotra, Aditya Roy Kapur, Arjun Kapoor and Dino Morea, among others. The team was surprised when Ranveer turned up for a practice session on Sunday. It was unusual because the actor had never played a match with the team before.
Producer Bunty Walia, who runs and manages the team, told a leading media portal, "I have been asking Ranveer to play for the team for a while. We were surprised when he dropped by and were amazed to see his game. He played like a pro. He's a great team guy and bonded well with everyone."
Bunty also added that Ranveer, a Football aficionado, has agreed to participate in the charity matches. "Ranveer has committed that whenever we have a charity match, he will play. But getting him to sign on the dotted line and be part of the team will take some more cajoling. But I will manage it over a period of time," he said.
Bunty further revealed how Ranveer learned about these practice sessions. "We met at a wedding in Kolkata last week and discussed Football. He wanted me to inform him about our next practice session. I messaged him about the Sunday session and he was there."
He also added, "The good thing about being part of the team is that the actors get to bond with each other — whether it is Abhishek, Ranbir, Ranveer, Sidharth or Aditya, or the younger lot comprising Ishaan [Khatter] and Adaar and Armaan [Jain]."
