‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’ is one of the most unforgettable movies of Bollywood. The movie completed its 24 years recently. The entire cast of the movie united at the Gio MAMI Festival to celebrate this occasion. The most iconic scene of the movie is of course, Pooja Bedi recreating Marilyn Monroe’s skirt flying scene.
What the audience doesn’t know however, is how difficult it was to shoot that scene. Farah Khan said, “We tried everything in our power to make that dress fly. There was this huge fan below, and I’m standing on the car with my hands there. Pooja, you did not put your hands there! The dress flew up over your head!”
Pooja Bedi laughed out loud at this but tried to defend herself playfully. However, the movie’s assistant director Devan Bhojani was on Farah’s side of the story. He revealed, “Farah was shouting at me ‘Arey Kya kar raha hai? Pankha neeche lagaao, the dress is not flying!’ and when it finally worked, face cover ho gaya, baki sab kuch dikh gaya.”
The entire cast roared with laughter at this. But this wasn’t the end, Devan added, “We still remember, you were wearing a red thong.”
