Saif Ali Khan is a doting father to three kids - Ibrahim Ali Khan, Sara Ali Khan, and Taimur Ali Khan. While Sara and Ibrahim are children from his first marriage with Amrita Singh, Taimur is Kareena Kapoor and Saif's newborn. With Sara all geared up to make her Bollywood debut, Saif, Amrita, and Kareena are on the receiving ends of questions about her debut project.
Ibrahim is yet to complete his studies, but his Bollywood debut too is awaited. And so, in a recent interview with a daily, Saif was asked what advice would he give to his children. To this, Saif said, "I remember when I went for Sara's graduation to Columbia University in New York, USA. They were like, 'My daughter or son should do this and that.' Parents can be pushy - they can want to live their dreams - after their own failures - through their children. That's dangerous, I don't like it. My father never pressured me to play cricket."
Saif is clearly happy that his daughter wants to foray into Bollywood. And so when the daily asked about his son, Saif added, "As long as he (Ibrahim) is happy, he can do whatever he wants. It's good to have a job and have something to talk about in your life. You can become a teacher also."
Saif is everything a parent should be. Explaining his stand further, Saif said, "Sometimes we don't have that quality (life) in Mumbai. I love the city but we pay a price (to stay here) too. Maybe, you can get a teaching job in Dehradun, which could be cleaner and nicer. So you can live however you want to but please think about it and decide. That's my advice to my kids. You can't blame anybody later. You should know what you want. Try and figure that out, and then stick to it."
Saif's advice for his children is every bit of parenting goals!
