Saif Ali Khan has just wrapped up the shooting for ‘Chef’, and will soon begin shooting for his next tentatively titled ‘Kalakandi’. The actor has been in news recently for his last outing, ‘Rangoon’, and also for a whole lot of controversies that surrounded after he and Kareena Kapoor Khan named their son Taimur Ali Khan.
If rumours are anything to go by then, Saif has signed on to do a film in collaboration with ace filmmaker Aanand L Rai. Aanand is currently busy working on his next that will see Shah Rukh Khan play a dwarf in the untitled film. However, according to reports, Saif's next after 'Kalakandi' will be a film produced by Aanand.
A source close to the production house revealed, "Aanand and Saif have met a couple of times and they have discussed a few scripts. Saif has really liked one of them and has given a go-ahead to the director for the same. It’s yet again a heartland film which gives out an interesting message in the end."
Aanand, however, will not be the helmer. The source added, "His next with SRK goes on floors next month. The sets are erected in Film City and he will be extremely caught up with that ambitious film as it involves a lot of VFX work and SRK too has given bulk dates to him till the end of this year to finish the film. So Aanand might not direct Saif’s film, although he will be on board as one of the producers. The actor is also planning to co-produce the film under his own banner."
