Govinda celebrates his 54th birthday. He confesses that he has made his New Year resolutions that he will work harder on his films and would have a daily routine of fitness. He has lost a lot of weight due to stringent diet and yoga. He is not interested in throwing a grand bash for his birthday; he wants to celebrate it with close family and friends.
The actor was shooting till 4 am and wrapped up the shooting of Abhishek Dogra’s comedy-drama, ‘Fry-day’, and he talked about ‘Partner 2’, “When I quit politics 10 years ago, found ‘Partner’ and neither the makers nor my fans have forgotten the film. I guess it’s because of the humour and the honesty which shines through. There is a lot of speculation but I haven’t been finalised for the sequel, I have to make that clear kyunki main jhoot nahi bolta.”
Govinda talks about his political career and film journey, “I never understood why we had to wait a decade for a ‘Partner’ sequel; I guess I love the franchise a little too much. I did not have the support of big banners then. I tried my hand at politics without much success. Even as a producer things didn’t work out and I got left behind in the race. I guess it was destiny.”
Govinda said he not going to produce any film but will work hard as an actor, “In hard times my mother’s blessings kept me going. Now, I want to work with good people and show my Kamaal in whatever little way I can.”
