Ranbir Kapoor recently sat down for a chat with the famous comedy collective, 'All India Bakchod' AKA 'AIB'. During the course of a light-hearted conversation peppered with humour, the usually reticent actor got candid and made some striking confessions.
02/11Ranbir Kapoor on nepotism
When asked about his take on nepotism, Ranbir admitted that he was a disarming product of nepotism. However, the actor further added that he does not like answering such questions as he believes that 'people don't listen to actors on such topics'.
03/11Ranbir Kapoor on mansplaining
Recently during the promotions of his latest 'Jagga Jasoos', he was accused of 'mansplaining' Katrina on various occasions. Considering that Ranbir is a social media recluse, the actor was not aware of the term and got a lowdown on the topic. However, understanding the term and the meaning he realised that he too has been doing the same and in a later interview apologised to the actress.
04/11Ranbir Kapoor on the debacle of 'Bombay Velvet'
While Ranbir is known to have proven his mettle as an actor, he suffered a particularly low phase, when two of his successive films, 'Besharam' and 'Bombay Velvet' did not perform well at the box-office. The actor revealed that while he had accepted 'Bombay Velvet' as a flop, he could not understand why was he getting condolence messages months after the film's release. The actor revealed that he felt very weird when Karan Johar and Aamir Khan visited his place to console him.

When quizzed about his current relationship status, the actor revealed that he never been single until now. Ranbir said, "I've never been single in my life. From the age of 13, until last year, I've always been in a relationship. This is the first time I'm single." When asked if he is looking to mingle, the actor smiled and added, "It's amazing, you have a lot of time for yourself."
06/11Ranbir Kapoor on his equation with Fawad Khan
Ranbir, who shared screen space with heartthrob Fawad Khan in 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' said that he and Fawad share a great equation. The actor added that while what happened was sad, no one can deny that Fawad is a great talent. Sharing an anecdote from the sets, Ranbir reminisced,"Karan’s obsessed with him! When he was on set, I and Anushka were pushed aside. Karan was giving him direction and all these layers, and we were just told to go act."
07/11Ranbir Kapoor on Kishore Kumar biopic
There has been a lot of speculation surrounding Ranbir's next with Anurag Basu, the Kishore Kumar biopic. While Basu has assured the audience that the film will happen, Ranbir said, "It was happening, but one person's family didn't allow us to use the person's story, which is the main conflict of the story."

08/11Ranbir Kapoor on working in a web series
When quizzed if the 'Rockstar' actor will ever consider coming on board for a web series, Ranbir said that he believes that the internet is not as ‘interactive’ as compared to the Hindi film industry. However, in jest, the actor added that he might be tempted to do a web series if his upcoming 'Dutt Biopic' tanks at the box-office.

Though Ranbir does not have a social media presence, his dad, Rishi Kapoor is quite popular for his blunt tweets. When quizzed how he feels about his father's social media presence, Ranbir said that while he is a hypocrite, his father has always been passionate, honest and very vocal about his opinions. Ranbir further added, "My mom is giving my dad a hard time about his tweets. Like he has to go sleep in the sitting room." To this Tanmay joked, "Toh botal nikal do na room se", laughing Ranbir replied, "Without the botal also, he's like this."
10/11Ranbir Kapoor confesses he has a drinking problem
During the course of the conversation, Ranbir added that while drinking is fun, he realises that he suffers from a drinking problem. The 'Tamasha' actor said that considering he is young it is okay but someday age will catch up and things won't be the same. On a sombre note, the actor continued that he had seen people in his family fall sick and suffer due to drinking.
