Nepotism has become the talk of the town in 2017. Every other actor has an opinion about it and those who don't, are asked to choose sides on the trending topic. While some actors defend the concept, there are plenty more who deny its existence.
Another such actor who was recently asked to speak up on the topic is Anil Kapoor. In a conversation with a leading entertainment magazine, when the actor was asked about his take on nepotism, he replied, "It’s the flavour of the season and too much has been spoken about it." The actor continued, "If you take off with a bang, you might get stuck midway. I guess the later you take off the better it is. Some of the biggest stars have had a tough journey. The survivors always last longer."
When talking about his three children - Sonam Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor and Harshvardhan Kapoor, Anil said, "They have to fight their own battles. It’s a tough journey. Because there are certain expectations around them, they have to work even harder than the rest," and added, "They have to evolve as actors and also as human beings. All three of them are doing a great job."
When speaking about Sonam, the proud father beamed, "She’s created an aura around herself. People have put her on a pedestal after Khoobsurat, Raanjhanaa, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Neerja. People admire her acting, her looks and her fashion evolution. They also appreciate her honesty and straightforwardness."
Anil is currently busy with the shoot of 'Fanney Khan' which is slated for an April 2018 release. The movie also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao and Divya Dutta. Anil recently revealed his look for the movie, in which he was seen sporting a salt and pepper look.
