Aamir Khan’s next titled ‘Secret Superstar’ will see the actor in a rather interesting look. The film also features ‘Dangal’ actress Zaira Wasim and is a story of a girl who aspires to be a singer.
The film was first slated to release on August 4, however, a recent report suggests that the film will now hit theatres on Diwali. The film was first to clash with Sanjay Dutt’s film ‘Bhoomi’, but Sanjay to avoid the clash further delayed the film.
Talking about the change in Bhoomi’s release date, Sanjay said, “Aamir is a dear friend and I wouldn’t want my comeback film to be pitted against his. In this industry, we should all make an effort to help each other.”
While one clash was avoided, looks like the film will now clash with Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer ‘2.O’. Confirming the news, trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted:
A source close to the development states, “Aamir himself called Rajini Sir and discussed his concerns vis-à-vis ‘Secret Superstar’ shifting from August to Diwali. Both the actors share a warm bond and it was with Rajini Sir’s blessings that Aamir has announced a Diwali release for ‘Secret Superstar’. Aamir took this decision as Imtiaz Ali’s next starring Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma is set to hit theatres on August 11, and Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ too is all set to release on the same date. With two big films releasing in the same week, Aamir didn’t want the film to go unnoticed, and hence he changed the release date.
Will this be the second biggest Box Office clash after the ‘Raees-Kaabil’ clash?
